Terms & policies

Please review before booking

Booking & Payment

Your place is confirmed only once full payment is completed. An inquiry, message, cart or unpaid checkout does not reserve a place.

Each person participating in the experience requires their own paid place, including an adult accompanying a minor.

Age Policy

Under Sail is open to guests 8 years old and above.

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also a booked and paid participant in the experience.

Participation remains subject to the sailing instructor’s assessment, available safety equipment and conditions on the day. Souló or Taal Lake Yacht Club may determine that a guest should not participate where doing so would create a safety risk.

Children should never be booked without their accompanying adult included in the same booking or group registration.

Cancellations & Transfers

Bookings are non-refundable for change of mind.

You may request one transfer to another available Under Sail date at least 48 hours before your booked experience, subject to availability.

You may also transfer a booking to another eligible guest by notifying Souló before the experience. Where the place is for a minor, the age and accompanying-adult requirements still apply.

Requests made within 48 hours of the experience, late arrivals and no-shows are non-refundable.

Weather & Sailing Conditions

Under Sail is an outdoor, on-water experience and is subject to weather and lake conditions.

Light rain, cloud, normal lake movement or light wind may not require cancellation. The sailing route, sequence or time on a particular boat may be adjusted where conditions require it.

The on-water experience will not proceed where conditions are considered unsafe by the relevant authorities, Taal Lake Yacht Club or the responsible sailing instructor/skipper.

Safety decisions made by the instructor, skipper or venue are final for the purpose of operating the experience.

If We Cancel or Postpone

Souló may postpone or cancel the experience where unsafe weather or water conditions, venue restrictions, authority restrictions, equipment or operational issues, or another circumstance prevents safe delivery.

If Souló cancels before the experience begins, you may choose:

  • a full refund for the affected booking; or
  • a transfer to another available Under Sail date.

If a material change is made to the date, venue or core purchased experience before delivery, you may accept the change or request a full refund.

Participation & Safety

No previous sailing experience is required unless otherwise stated on the booking page.

Guests must follow all safety and operating instructions given by Souló, Taal Lake Yacht Club and the sailing instructors/skippers.

Please tell us before the experience about any health, mobility, swimming or other condition that may be relevant to safe participation.

The instructor, skipper, Souló or venue may stop or refuse participation where continuing would create an immediate safety risk.

Minors

The accompanying parent or legal guardian remains responsible for supervising the minor before, during and after the experience, while also following the directions of the sailing instructor and venue.

Booking a place for a minor confirms that the accompanying adult has considered whether the activity is appropriate for the child and has disclosed any information relevant to safe participation.

What to Expect on the Water

Under Sail is a two-hour small-group sailing experience across two different types of boat.

Actual sailing conditions vary. Wind and weather may affect boat movement, route, sequence and how much sailing can be completed during the experience.

Reasonable operational adjustments that do not materially reduce the core experience may be made on the day.

Personal Belongings & Insurance

Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings.

Travel and personal accident insurance appropriate for an on-water activity is recommended. For minors, the accompanying adult should ensure any insurance or personal coverage is appropriate for the child’s participation.

Guest Conduct

Guests must treat other participants, instructors, hosts, equipment and the venue with reasonable care and respect.

A guest may be removed from the experience where their conduct creates a safety risk, materially disrupts the experience or repeatedly disregards instructor or venue directions. A refund is not due where removal results from the guest’s own material misconduct.

Photography & Personal Information

Booking and participant information is used as reasonably necessary to administer the booking, communicate operational information and safely deliver the experience.

Photography or video may take place during the experience. Where identifiable images are intended for publication or marketing, appropriate notice and consent will be obtained. Consent for identifiable marketing use involving a minor must be provided by the appropriate parent or legal guardian.

General

Under Sail is offered by Souló through With Meraki Travel Collection, in collaboration with Taal Lake Yacht Club for the sailing component.

These terms, together with the booking page and your order confirmation, govern your booking and do not limit rights available to you under Philippine law.

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted these Terms & Policies and, where booking for a minor, that the required accompanying adult has also booked a paid place.
