From farm to farther horizons
The farm taught us that place is weather, labor, memory, appetite and the people who let a guest enter with care. With Meraki Travel Collection carries that lesson outward, designing journeys around local knowledge, human presence and enough time for the details to matter.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Barbara Kitane is the founder of Ampersand Future, With Meraki Travel Collection and Souló Experiences. A transformation strategist with more than two decades of international experience across tourism, luxury hospitality, sustainability, culture and experience design, she also holds GSTC Professional Certification in Sustainable Tourism.
Her early career in Milan’s fashion industry taught her that meaning is created through the relationship between product, place, service and story. She carries that discipline into travel—treating destinations as living systems shaped by local knowledge, human connection, ecology and time.
With Meraki grew from this belief: that a thoughtful journey should create value not only for the guest, but also for the people and places that make it possible.
