The Art of Gathering

Experience

The Art of Gathering

The Art of Gathering is a Souló cultural salon within the Art, Appetite & Afterthoughts Edition. An evening shaped around contemporary art, a shared table and the conversations that emerged between them.

The gathering began at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila (The M), where guests explored selected exhibitions through guided interpretation and open-ended prompts. Rather than simply observing, they were invited to consider what drew their attention, challenged their assumptions and shifted the way they saw the world.

The evening continued at Got Soul MNL with an intimate chef’s table. Conversation unfolded between courses, moving through creativity, belonging, purpose, place, culture and community. A closing round of afterthoughts gave guests room to name what surprised them, what stayed with them and what they might carry forward.

This was four unhurried hours designed to make space for looking closely, listening well and going deeper than the usual introductions.

The question at the centre of the evening:

How does art shape the way we see ourselves, our communities and our future?

Cultural care

Representation, permissions and guest guidance are shaped with the people whose knowledge and culture are present.

We document practical decisions around transport, materials, food, water, waste and biodiversity.
